Job Description
Interior Designer Project Leader (Hybrid / Remote) Part Time Permanent Hey Montgomery is looking for a creative and independent Interior Designer to join our growing team. This is a part time role equivalent to three full days per week. We are an award-winning interior design studio specialising in children's residential, educational and commercial spaces, creating thoughtful interiors that are both beautiful and functional. As we continue to expand, we are looking for someone who is passionate about modern design, thrives on variety and is excited to take ownership of projects. This is a hands-on role within a small and growing studio, offering the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of the business. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a paced environment, be comfortable wearing multiple hats and be excited to contribute beyond the traditional design process. Please Read Before Applying: Singapore based applicants: This role is offered on a hybrid basis and is open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor Employment Passes or other work visas at this time. Applicants based outside of Singapore: We welcome international applications. Please note that overseas candidates will be considered for a fully remote freelance contractor arrangement. Successful applicants will be engaged on a contract basis. Relocation to Singapore and visa sponsorship are not available. The Role: You will be involved in all aspects of the design process, including: - Researching and sourcing products for clients globally - Preparing for shopping and sourcing lists - Creating mood boards and presentations - Producing SketchUp models, 3D drawings and visualisations - Creating high quality, photorealistic renders as required - Developing concepts from initial idea through to presentation - Leading your own projects with initiative and independence - Confidently communicating and interacting with clients as required - Supporting installations, styling and project execution when needed (Hybrid based only) - Assisting with various aspects of the business in a small studio environment - Contributing ideas and initiatives to support the growth of the business Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts or a related Design field. Requirements: - Creative, self-motivated and a highly proactive attitude is a must - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred, open to all applicants with outlined experience - Strong communication - Excellent time management and organisational abilities - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment hybrid and remote - Comfortable taking ownership of projects and using initiative is key - Confident interacting with clients and presenting ideas when required - A genuine interest in children's spaces and designing environments that inspire young minds Essential Skills: - SketchUp or a similar 3D modelling programme required - Enscape and other 3D rendering software, with the ability to produce high quality, photorealistic visualisations - Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop - Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator - Excellent presentation and visual communication for mood boards - An openness to learn new technologies and a willingness to integrate AI into creative workflows A Bonus: - Photo editing and retouching skills - Experience creating polished visual content for presentations and social media - Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, AI design and visualisation tools such as Nano Banana and similar platforms Application Requirements: Please submit the below: - CV & Portfolio (PDF preferred) - Examples of mood boards and concept presentations, SketchUp models and or 3D visualisations - Examples of completed projects, Photoshop and or Illustrator work - Expected salary or hourly rate - Availability and notice period - Current location We're interested in seeing not only polished final outcomes, but also how you think, what interests you?
