Job Description

The role requires editing of live action sequences, compositing of rendered motion graphics, 2D and 3D tracking, green screen extraction, layering elements, and colour grading.

Of great importance is the dual skillset of editing AND compositing. Specialists in an individual field are not suitable.

Editing tasks
Edit mini documentaries, presentations, promotional videos, educational videos, opening titles (stings) and trailers
Follow direction from the in-house director and written scripts to develop compelling videos
Where necessary, ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines
Continuously raise production standards and quality

Compositing tasks
Complete high quality shots that maintains consistency with creative direction and direction from in-house director
Composite motion graphics sequences over live action or CGI content
Extract green or blue screen footage and seamlessly blend with backgrounds
Complete 2D and 3D tracking tasks and add elements seamlessly into background plates
Apply where necessary VFX techniques such as roto, paint, motion graphics, and title animation

Additional: Help with production studio manpower requirements when necessary

Must haves
High-level proficiency in image-based tools including Adobe Premiere Nuke, After Effects, and Photoshop (3+ years minimum)
Ability to work efficiently within a team of other professionals
Adhere to deadlines and stipulated time frames
A strong desire for learning and self-improvement in new techniques and technology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create unique visual solutions.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
