Job Description
Objective:
To support Registrar team on smooth preparations and delivery of Art Fair and Exhibitions, updating ArtLogic records and prompt coordination of artworks post-residency and post-sales.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assisting Registrar/Gallery Ops with exhibition and art fair preparations, SketchUp mock-ups, cross-checking of dossier information
- Assist in engaging vendors for show-build, painting, light plotting, artwork installation and de-installation
- Return of Artist Shares and end-term consigned works
- Support artwork framing and after-sales delivery & installation coordination
- Support in artwork logistics (visual check, shipping)
- Support in generating Art fair master lists
- Provide logistical support for sales viewing, pricing exercises, and artwork photography sessions
Administration:
- Support AM/Procurement with timely issuance of Purchase Orders for payment and tracking of invoice submission and payments to vendors
Other Tasks:
- Conduct periodic condition checks & stock taking on artwork.
- General procurement and administrative tasks for the Registrar department
- Updating of relevant tracking lists
- Maintenance and upkeep of artwork storage areas, gallery spaces and registrars’ workspaces
Job Specifications:
- A Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Management with at least 2 years of work experience is an added advantage
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to articulate well
- Team player with good people skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with self-initiative and good time management
- Strong adaptability to a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SketchUp
