Urgent Hiring: Part-Time Kitchen Assistant (Ad-Hoc Basis)

Join our fun, young team as a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant! We’re looking for someone to start immediately on an ad-hoc basis, with flexible availability across mornings, afternoons, weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Follow the day-to-day production schedule and ensure the products are prepared according to the recipe.
• Ensure that all products are consistent in quality and appearance by following the recipes precisely.
• Maintain the central kitchen inventory, allowing the production schedule to be carried out smoothly.
• To comply with the kitchen SOPs.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth operation.
• Assisting the head chef with various tasks as needed
• Supporting general kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and storage areas to comply with food and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
• A positive, reliable team player who can follow directions closely
• Prior kitchen/baking experience is a plus, but not required
• Food Hygiene Certification will be required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays

Additional Information:

• There is a 4-hour unpaid trial session to assess suitability for the role.
• There will be a $10 compensation* for first-timers on their first day.
