Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, sketch, and develop collections that reflect Lovet’s aesthetics.
  • Research fashion trends, customer preferences, and market demands to curate commercially viable designs.
  • Select fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the brand’s quality and design standards.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure cohesive progress across campaigns and collections.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure accurate execution of designs.
  • Fit all samples and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired silhouette through clear and accurate descriptions.
  • Ensure designs meet quality standards and align with the company’s and customer’s expectations.
  • Stay updated on fashion and material trends and identify product innovation and differentiation opportunities while upholding the brand’s core identity.
  • Ensure all designs are aligned with Lovet’s mission and vision of catering to people from all walks of life.
  • Uphold the brand’s commitment to quality, affordability, and mindful design.

Requirements:

  • Fitting requirements: Standard Lovet Size S (PTP 15.5-16″, Waist 12.75-13″, Hips 17.5-18″, Height 158-165cm)
  • Diploma or degree in fashion design or a related field, sewing skills are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing women’s apparel, with a strong portfolio showcasing women’s design.
  • Proficient in design sketching and usage of design software. (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other relevant software)
  • Strong ability to conceptualize and translate ideas into wearable fashion.
  • Deep understanding of fabrics, pattern-making, and garment construction.
  • Exceptional taste and eye for the latest trends and timeless styles.
  • Attention to detail – Meticulous approach to design, sampling, and production.
  • Participate in frequent international travels to meet production needs.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese to articulate design concepts and communicate with manufacturers.
