We're looking for a Social Media Intern who is obsessed with digital trends, quick to jump on viral moments, and eager to grow online communities. You should be able to creatively spin trending content to align with Bandwagon’s brand voice and audience. The intern should also be comfortable using online tools for video editing, content creation, and engagement. If you’re chronically online and always scrolling through Instagram, TikTok, X, emerging social platforms. crafting memes, and keeping up with internet culture, we want you on our team!
Job Description
Our ideal intern is someone who:
- Lives and breathes social media (especially TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), and emerging platforms).
- Can spot the next viral trend and creatively spin it to match Bandwagon’s brand and audience.
- Loves creating and editing content—from snappy TikToks to engaging Instagram Reels.
- Understands how to grow engagement and build online communities.
- Has an eye for aesthetics, humor, and cultural relevance in digital content.
- Is proactive, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced media environment.
Responsibilities
- Trend Spotting & Content Creation
- Stay updated on viral trends and develop creative concepts that align with Bandwagon’s brand.
- Create short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) using tools like CapCut, Canva, and InShot.
- Repurpose news, interviews, and event highlights into engaging posts.
- Social Media Scheduling & Strategy
- Assist in planning and scheduling content across platforms.
- Organize a daily social media calendar, prioritizing content for maximum engagement (aligning with Task 2 of the assessment).
- Identify which posts should be boosted via paid promotions for higher reach.
- Engagement & Community Growth
- Respond to comments and DMs in a fun, witty, and authentic way.
- Engage with followers and interact with viral content to increase brand visibility.
- Help implement interactive strategies like polls, Q&As, and challenges to boost audience participation (aligning with Task 3 of the assessment).
- Creative Video Editing & Storytelling
- Use editing tools to create fun, visually appealing videos (aligning with Task 4 of the assessment).
- Experiment with different storytelling formats to maximize audience retention.
- Analytics & Insights
- Track post-performance and audience behavior to optimize future content.
- Learn how to measure success using engagement metrics, reach, and follower growth.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong interest in social media, pop culture, and digital content creation.
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, X (Twitter), and emerging social trends.
- Basic knowledge of video editing tools (CapCut, Canva, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro is a bonus!).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think quickly, adapt, and execute creative ideas fast.
- Bonus: Previous experience with content creation, marketing, or social media strategy.
