Job Description
Are you currently pursuing a degree in psychology, or have a strong interest in the mental health space?
We welcome you to join A Space Between as our Intern Community Manager, where you’ll be immersed in the quiet workings of a mental health co-practice space. You’ll meet and support a network of independent therapists who are generous with their stories, open to sharing resources, and deeply rooted in the healing arts.
This is a grounding opportunity to get a first-hand look into how a real-life therapeutic space is run—ideal for someone looking to learn through gentle exposure rather than front-facing client work.
What You’ll Do
As our Intern Community Manager, you’ll help tend to the small but important details that make A Space Between feel safe and welcoming for our members. Your work will include:
- Greeting therapists and their clients when they arrive at the space, making them feel seen and supported
- Handling front desk operations (room checks, answering basic enquiries)
- Supporting members if they experience access issues with our digital door system or need help navigating the space
- Bringing potential members on quiet, informative walkthroughs of the space and sharing what we offer
- Responding to member questions via email, text or in-person, and escalating when needed
- Coordinating and scheduling cleaning or maintenance services, ensuring the space remains tidy, functional, and calm
- Supporting our events and quiet community initiatives (e.g. monthly meetups, creative campaigns, seasonal rituals)
- Keeping the pantry stocked, lights softened, and therapy rooms reset with care and intention
- Helping with back-end admin (e.g. membership tracking, booking system entries, community WhatsApp updates)
- Learning and observing how practitioners work, how space impacts mental health work, and how community is held
You Are
- Kind, reliable, and quietly observant
- Interested in psychology, counselling, or community-based work
- Someone who enjoys helping others and being part of something meaningful
- Comfortable with light admin, tech tools, and being proactive with small details
- Able to commit full-time for at least 3–6 months
What You’ll Gain
- A hands-on introduction to the mental health ecosystem in Singapore
- Exposure to private practice work, and opportunities to build professional relationships
- Access to informal mentorship from therapists and wellness practitioners
- A gentle pace and thoughtful environment to explore your interests
- Monthly stipend of $800
