Job Description

A mid-level Communication Designer plays a hands-on role and is responsible not only for the visual direction behind our creative work but also for contributing to the strategic thinking and rationale that underpin it. As our projects are typically lengthy and multifaceted, the Designer will often be asked to lead the creative process for specific parts of a work stream.

This necessitates working as part of design teams and liaising with external consultants and other members of the wider project teams. The Designer should have experience working across a range of diverse projects, including branding, websites, environmental graphics, installations, etc., across different industries, and be able to interact with a variety of disciplines from design to production.

1. Responsibilities

1.1. Collaborate with Principals, the Director, and fellow designers to take a project from initial idea to final output.

1.2. Define and develop creative concepts according to the requirements of the creative brief and the client’s objectives.

1.3. Participate in brand brainstorming sessions and prepare concepts for client presentations.

1.4. Assume daily responsibilities in communications design, such as branding design, wayfinding, and graphic design.

1.5. Be flexible in design and capable of taking direction, feedback, and observations with a positive attitude.

1.6. Take responsibility for achieving and maintaining the quality of design throughout all phases of the project.

1.7. Work and liaise across all creative disciplines to produce the best response to creative briefs.

1.8. Support junior team members by providing mentorship and positive guidance.

1.9. Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

1.10. Ability to create holistic branding designs across physical and digital touchpoints.

1.11. Flexibility to support the digital team using UI design software such as Figma.

1.12. Manage resources efficiently through effective communication to ensure project profitability and studio success.

2.8.  Ability to prioritize and multitask, handling multiple clients simultaneously.
2.9.  Comfortable working well under pressure, often under critical deadlines.
2.10.  Excellent skills in graphic design software such as Adobe Suites.
2.11.  Basic understanding of UI, UX, and digital design software such as Figma.
