Job Description
The candidate will manage the faculty鈥檚 digital media, including websites and socials, to support the faculty鈥檚 profiling to stakeholders. The candidate must have the ability to create compelling content for digital channels. This role calls for competence in multimedia tools as well as short form content / writing.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Socials
路 Develop and run digital communication campaigns
路 Develop content strategy to boost digital presence and visibility
路 Write original content for digital channels, which includes researching and following up on story leads and interviewing stakeholders for content
路 Curate posts, stories and multimedia assets (e.g. graphics, photographs, videos, animations etc) to present scientific content impactfully
路 Monitor trends and metrics and use data-driven insights to improve audience outreach and engagement on social platforms
路 Ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all digital channels
Website
路 Manage the faculty鈥檚 website / sub-sites content administration and web publishing
路 Ensure that information published on the website is updated, accessible, accurate and adheres to the relevant policies of the University
路 Maintain and review plugin licenses to support website functionality
路 Manage the overall look-and-feel of websites for adherence to the University鈥檚 corporate identity guidelines
路 Monitor website performance using analytics tools and use data-driven insights for improvements
路 Liaise with relevant stakeholders on website requirements
路 Provide on-going support and administration of Content Management System – WordPress
路 Identify training courses for department administrators and work closely with NUS IT to ensure skills of department webmasters are updated
Other Responsibilities
Support the team on other projects (e.g. logistics for key events, photo / video shoots), administrative and other ad-hoc projects and duties
Qualifications
路 Diploma (or equivalent) qualifications in fields like digital media/communications or equivalent Skills and Knowledge Required
路 Experience in translating technical content to short form content for laymen would be a significant advantage
路 Experience managing digital communications and running social media campaigns
路 Technical proficiency in WordPress CMS, HTML and CSS coding and Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign. Competency in video software is an advantage
路 Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage concurrent deadlines under tight timelines
路 Meticulous, organised with an eye for detail
路 Understanding of latest digital media and website trends and technologies, with passion to continuously try out new tools and techniques for improvements
Portfolio Submission and Job Application:
Interested freelancers are invited to submit their CVs and recent portfolio of work for consideration. The portfolio must include examples of digital content creation, such as social media campaigns, website management, and multimedia assets (graphics, photographs, videos, animations). Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be notified for an interview. Selected freelancers for the role will engage in contractual arrangements for their freelance services, and by submitting their CVs, freelancers consent to the collection and processing of their personal data for the purpose of evaluating their suitability for the position, in compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
Candidates who prefer a more stable engagement have the option to be offered an employment contract (up to 2 years).
