Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Executive to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling commercial documentation, banking activities, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients, suppliers, and BIP. This role is critical to maintaining timely deliveries, avoiding penalties such as demurrage and liquidated damages, and upholding the company’s reputation for reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all commercial documentation, including contracts, invoices, shipping documents, and certificates of origin.
Coordinate banking activities such as Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and payment follow-ups with clients and suppliers.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of import/export documentation to avoid delays and penalties.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, logistics partners, and banks to ensure smooth transactions and deliveries.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
Maintain a thorough understanding of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status of commercial activities and potential risks.
Mitigate risks associated with delays, demurrage, and liquidated damages by proactively addressing issues.
Uphold the company’s reputation by ensuring commitments to clients and suppliers are met efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the machinery, parts, or materials sourcing industry.
Strong knowledge of international trade documentation, banking processes, and Incoterms.
Proficiency in handling Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
