Job Description

The Opportunity

As a Motion Designer at Pitchday, you will join our Philippines team to bring client stories and messages to life by combining concept development, motion graphics, animation, storyboarding, design and video into visual experiences that engage, excite and educate people around the world.

The Role

  • Design or convert storyboards into compelling motion graphics that contain images, typography and/or audio.
  • Generate and pitch great ideas/concepts that are on-brief and adhere to visual guidelines.
  • Portray diverse storytelling with motion graphics, animation and/or footage.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team with writers, editors, videographers and a client services team.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior designers, helping them develop their skills.
  • Execute approved concepts independently, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery.
  • Collaborate, document, and communicate proactively throughout the work cycle.
  • Demonstrate a learning mindset and stretch the boundaries of the craft each day, sharing trends and formats with colleagues.

 

Required Skills

  • 3-7 years of experience in current production and post-production techniques.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Solid ability to communicate in English (written and spoken).
  • Good understanding of typography, design elements and principles, and best practices across print and digital.
  • Strong grasp of storytelling/narrative structure, pacing, graphics, music, and all key aspects of audiovisual content.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills.
  • Successfully manages time, process, and workflow.

Interview process

  • Creative interviews: You’ll meet the hiring design team who will evaluate skills needed to be successful in your role. No live designing. 45 minutes, varies by role.
  • Offer: Time to celebrate! If everyone’s happy, we’ll make you a custom offer to join us.
  • Response time: Every offer is reviewed by several senior team members, applications usually take 1-2 weeks to get fully reviewed.
