Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and creative individual with a flair for fashion to join our Design and Merchandising team on a full-time basis. This position is crucial in the development of Our Second Nature’s (OSN) womenswear, menswear and childrenswear, as well as Atlas Kind’s’ (AK) womenswear, menswear and accessories collections, and plays a pivotal role in strengthening OSN and AK’s brand and product through design.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing OSN’s womenswear, menswear and childrenswear collections as well as AK”s womenswear, menswear and accessories collections.
• Contributing to all stages of design: conducting research, presenting ideas, preparing technical packs, liaising with factories, reviewing samples, making adjustments to samples till they are production-ready, ensuring final products are made to design specifications
• Preparing all necessary paperwork and technical packs for sampling and production, using free-hand drawing skills, Adobe Suites and Microsoft Excel
• Ensuring all paperwork, technical packs, price lists are accurate, up-to-date and organized
• Planning fit sessions, communicating feedback, and proposing adjustments to the team effectively
• Attending material sourcing trips and factory visits
• Keeping up to date with trend and market movements; forecasting, developing and adapting designs accordingly to suit consumer demands
• Anticipating sampling or production problems and coming up with solutions that are practical, scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient
• Implementing strict quality control checks on final products
• Adhering to design deliverables, timelines and budgets

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of working experience in a local or international fashion company
• A creative flair and an appreciation for OSN and AK
• Experience in developing Fashion collections
• Experience in creating and working with textile prints
• Proficiency in garment construction, pattern-making, pattern-cutting and sewing
• Attention to detail, with an organised and efficient working style
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think out of the box and come up with solutions that are practical, scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient
• A team player who displays a positive and professional attitude
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite
