Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing sales support, preparing accurate cost estimations, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring efficient project delivery. This role involves a combination of client-facing communication, technical expertise, and project management.
Responsibilities
Sales Support & Client Engagement
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email and phone.
- Prepare and deliver product samples and detailed quotations based on client and designer specifications.
- Follow up with clients to ensure timely order processing and address additional inquiries.
Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimation
- Gather specifications and accurately calculate or measure quantities using floorplan drawings.
- Prepare precise cost estimations to support project planning and client quotations.
Tender & Documentation
- Prepare and submit tender documents in accordance with specific deadlines.
- Finalize project accounts with clients and vendors to ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Source, plan, negotiate, and award contracts to vendors, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
- Evaluate and process vendor claims while maintaining compliance with agreed terms.
- Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to consultants in a timely manner.
Invoicing & Financial Oversight
- Manage the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing in alignment with client agreements.
Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to ensure budget adherence.
Project Support
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align deliverables with project requirements.
Maintain organized records of all project documents, claims, and invoices for easy access and auditing.
Requirement
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender preparation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client and vendor relationships.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or a similar role is preferred.
