Join us as Senior Lead Product Designer in Singapore

Ascenda is seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Product Designer to join our Creative team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-6 years of product design experience in the SaaS industry. As a Senior Lead Product Designer, you will be responsible for leading the creation of exceptional user experiences for our user persona as well as mentor the designer(s) within this team. In this role, you’ll work closely with your product and engineering counterparts as part of our three-in-a-pod model to design user experiences for our end-users.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end product design process for the user persona, from user research, prototypes and low-fi wireframes, all the way to high-fidelity designs.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in a three-in-a-pod model, from concept to delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Design Systems team to add new components to the design system(s) and to ensure design consistency across Ascenda’s products.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of features.
  • Design and conduct user testing sessions to collect actionable feedback and use these insights to enhance your designs and add features to the product roadmap.
  • Monitor and analyze user experience performance in production, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct competitor and industry research to guide design decisions and stay up to date with the latest design trends and product features in our competitive landscape.
  • Mentor and guide other designers within your team.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in product design in the B2B SaaS industry.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring designers.
  • Experience in managing the entire product design process from start to finish independently, collaborating with engineers and product managers alike.
  • Experience driving activation and engagement in a B2B SaaS product through the design of product-led growth strategies.
  • Proficiency in both UX and UI: from user research, wireframing and user testing, to creating high-fidelity designs.
  • Expertise in Figma for creating low, mid and high fidelity user journeys, as well as creating rapid and/or detailed prototypes.
  • Familiarity with usability testing tools such as Maze, Usertesting.com etc.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing outstanding user experiences.
