Job Description
Event Management Intern (3 to 6 month internship)
The Event Management Intern will play an essential role in supporting the planning and execution of events during the Singapore International Film Festival. Interns will work closely with both the Events and Guest Services teams to help deliver smooth, well-organised screenings, panels, receptions, and guest experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about film, arts, and live event production to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic festival environment.
Period of Engagement: 15 September to 19 December 2025.
Interested applicants may send a copy of your CV, a picture of yourself and two references by 30 June 2025. Internships are accepted on a rolling basis, so you are encouraged to submit as early as you can.
A letter of recommendation and certificate of internship will be available upon successful completion.
Job Scope:
Event Support
● Assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of festival events including screenings, Q&As, panels, and receptions.
● Help manage guest check-ins, audience flow, and seating logistics.
● Distribute event materials such as schedules, signage, and welcome packets.
● Provide on-site support at venues, ensuring each event runs to schedule and meets festival standards.
Guest Services Support
● Assist the Guest Services team in welcoming and orienting filmmakers, VIPs, jurors, and other special guests.
● Help with the preparation of guest welcome packs, accreditation badges, and itineraries.
● Support the hospitality desk or guest lounge by greeting guests, answering questions, and helping with logistical needs.
● Coordinate with transport, hospitality, and technical teams to assist with guest logistics.
● Escort guests to venues and ensure they follow itineraries.
General Responsibilities
● Provide professional and courteous assistance to festival audiences and guests.
● Participate in briefings, training sessions, and team check-ins during the lead-up and run of the festival.
● Contribute to post-event wrap-ups, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
