We are looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Producer to join our creative team and support the smooth running of our projects.
As an Assistant Producer at Smallshop, you will be key in supporting the production process from pre-production to post-production.
You will work closely with the Directors, Executive Producer and the production team to coordinate all aspects of the production, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Producer and Producers in managing production schedules, and resources for TVCs, short films, and corporate videos.
- Coordinate between producers, directors, and crew members to ensure clear communication and smooth execution.
- Scout, recce, and secure locations for the shoot, ensuring all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
- Handle logistics for shoots, including booking locations, arranging permits, coordinating with talent, and organising travel when necessary.
- Assist in sourcing vendors, equipment, and materials as needed for projects.
- Support post-production activities such as reviewing cuts and coordinating feedback with clients.
- Provide administrative support to the production team, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Producer, Production Coordinator, or in a similar role within a production company or agency.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience in handling shooting schedules and logistics.
- Experience with scouting, recce, and securing shoot locations, including managing permits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing project needs.
- Familiarity with production processes, from pre-production to post-production.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the team.
Additional Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in the media production industry.
- Knowledge of TVC production and digital content workflows is a plus.
