Job Description

XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit a highly energetic and creative Graphic Designer cum Web Developer to join the dynamic Marketing Department to develop designs, communicate ideas and inspire and captivate internal and external consumers on various collaterals and websites.

Main Responsibilities

  • To communicate the organization’s key messages by developing appealing online and offline design concepts that are aligned with the organization’s brand identity and guidelines.
  • To be responsible for all kinds of graphical design works including designing brochures, newsletters, spectrum, banners, posters, online banners, online adverts, handbooks, and other graphic design items.
  • To liaise with printers and suppliers at all stages of publication and delivery to ensure the delivered product is of a high quality and fully meets the brief.
  • To ensure all publications, website, and marketing collateral is effectively branded, visually eye-catching, appeals to its target audiences, is creative, and supports the brand positioning of the brands used in Singapore.
  • To develop several templates for routine marketing and communications items that can be easily adapted and reused and are in line with brand guidelines.
  • To display and remove banners, posters, slides and other marketing media throughout the premise, ensuring that marketing displays are topical, thematic, and up to date.
  • Website management in terms of images/visuals.
  • Familiar with WordPress.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our sites.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
  • To perform other job-related and administrative duties as reasonably requested.
  • To support Events organization as required.

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in design related major with computer science knowledge or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Graphic Design and Website Development.
  • Advanced level spoken and written English language skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good time management skills, and highly detail oriented.
  • Strong ability to explain and discuss design decisions and concepts.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    Experience in working in a school environment is an added advantage.
