Job Description

We’re looking for a Business Development Director to lead growth with ambition, insight, and sharp execution. You will drive new client acquisition, expand strategic accounts, and unlock revenue opportunities across a wide range of industries and sectors.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Acquisition

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across key verticals (corporate, government, lifestyle, tech, retail, hospitality, etc.).
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, industry platforms, and direct outreach.Develop winning proposals, pitch decks, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end pitching process – strategy, content, costing, and negotiations.

Client Growth & Relationship Development

  • Deepen relationships with current clients by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Position the agency as a strategic partner, not just a vendor – anticipate challenges and offer creative solutions that drive results.
  • Serve as a senior-level relationship lead with high-value clients and partners.

Revenue & Strategic Growth Leadership

  • Define and lead the agency’s business development strategy in line with commercial targets and growth vision.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, production, accounts) to develop integrated, scalable solutions that add value to prospects.
  • Set, monitor, and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.

Industry & Market Insight

  • Stay ahead of market trends, emerging industries, marketing practices, and competitor moves.
  • Offer insights into client behaviours, evolving needs, and relevant innovations in the events and media space.

Brand Representation & Agency Visibility

  • Represent the agency at industry events, networking platforms, business forums, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Be the face of the agency to new markets – confidently presenting capabilities, culture, and case studies.

Requirements & Profile

  • 8–12 years of proven experience in business development, sales, client growth, or partnerships – preferably in events, media, advertising, experiential marketing, or creative services.
  • An entrepreneurial closer who thrives on targets, momentum, and wins.
  • Deep network within Singapore’s marketing, events, and business communities is a strong plus.
  • Able to understand, sell, and develop integrated solutions combining creative ideas with event/media production.
  • Strong communicator – confident, credible, and persuasive in verbal and written presentations.
  • Skilled at handling complex accounts, high-value deals, and C-level relationships.
  • Commercially savvy with experience in budgeting, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • A natural collaborator and leader who works well across departments and disciplines.
