Keeping Cultjobs Fair for Everyone: Updates to Our Terms & Conditions

At Cultjobs, our mission has always been to provide an open and supportive platform for creative professionals and employers to connect meaningfully. To ensure that this space continues to work fairly for everyone, we’ve made a few important updates to our Terms & Conditions, effective 13th November 2025.

Why We’re Updating Our Terms

As our community grows, we’ve noticed new patterns in how job listings are created and promoted. While most employers use Cultjobs responsibly, a small number of users have been found using methods that unfairly boost visibility — including repeatedly reposting the same roles, using misleading job titles, or manipulating posting frequency to dominate search results.

These actions can make it harder for smaller teams and independent studios to get discovered; which goes against what Cultjobs stands for.

What’s Changing

Our revised Fair Use Policy now includes:

  • Visibility Integrity: Employers may not use any means, manual or automated, to artificially increase their listings’ visibility. This includes duplicate postings, reposting without material updates, or exploiting keyword stuffing.
  • Equal Exposure: Our moderation systems will be tuned to identify Employers that breach Fair Use guidelines where the necessary measures will be taken to ensure that all opportunities receive equitable visibility.
  • Transparent Conduct: Employers are expected to describe roles accurately and in good faith. Posts found to be misleading or repetitive may be temporarily hidden or removed.

What This Means for Employers

If you’ve been posting roles as intended, accurately and without repetition, these updates won’t affect you. However, if your listing practices include reposting identical roles or manipulating visibility in any way, you may notice a drop in listing prominence or find certain posts removed.

These measures are not meant to penalize — they’re designed to protect the health of our shared ecosystem. By ensuring every employer and creative gets a fair chance to be seen, we strengthen the quality and trustworthiness of Cultjobs as a whole.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Fairness isn’t just an ideal, it’s part of our culture. We’re continuously refining our systems to ensure that genuine employers and creative talent benefit from a level playing field.

We encourage all employers to review the updated Terms & Conditions and Fair Use Policy before posting new roles. If you have questions or feedback, our team is here to help at support@cultjobs.com.

Together, we can keep Cultjobs a space that values authenticity, opportunity, and creative integrity above all else.
