The Role
We are looking for a passionate and creative Freelance Little Movers Dance Teacher to teach our early childhood programme for children aged 2–6 years old.
The programme introduces young dancers to Ballet and Jazz foundations while encouraging exploration through Tap, Acro, and Contemporary. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and brings energy, imagination, and structure into every class.
What You’ll Do
- Teach engaging and age-appropriate Ballet and Jazz classes, with opportunities to incorporate Tap, Acro, and Contemporary.
- Deliver lessons based on provided lesson plans, ensuring smooth transitions, strong pacing, and positive class energy.
- Bring creativity and personality into structured lesson plans, making classes fun, interactive, and meaningful for young learners.
- Support children’s confidence, coordination, musicality, and early dance foundations.
- Prepare students for studio events, parent showcases, and simple performance opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the faculty team to ensure consistency across the programme.
- Communicate professionally with parents when required regarding student progress.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and well-managed classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably with preschool or early primary-age children.
- Ability to teach Ballet and Jazz; experience with Tap or Acro is an advantage.
- A warm, patient, and engaging teaching style suited to very young children.
- Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and reliability.
- Good understanding of child development and how to adapt lessons to suit short attention spans.
- Ability to follow structured lesson plans while adding creativity and flexibility.
- Clear communication skills with both children and parents.
- Certification in a recognised dance syllabus (ISTD, RAD, CSTD) or a diploma/degree in Dance is preferred.
