Job Description

The Role

The Copywriter is a core creative contributor responsible for developing strong, clear, and culturally relevant copy across all brand and campaign touchpoints. From high-impact OOH lines and social captions to website copy, EDMs, scripts, and long-form storytelling, this role ensures the brand voice is consistent, compelling, and effective.

You’ll work closely with marketing, creative, design, content, and external partners such as sponsors and institutions to translate strategy into ideas and ideas into words. This role requires someone who is conceptually strong, execution-excellent, and comfortable switching between big ideas and detailed copy.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Copy Development
Write copy across a wide range of formats including:
OOH (billboards, transit, event signage)
Social & digital (organic and paid)
Websites & landing pages
EDMs & CRM communications
Campaign films, brand videos, and scripts
Event, experiential, and on-ground activations
Develop strong campaign lines, headlines, body copy, and calls-to-action aligned to brand objectives.
Adapt copy for different platforms, audiences, and moments while maintaining a cohesive brand voice.
Conceptualisation & Campaign Support
Contribute to campaign ideation, creative brainstorming, and concept development.
Support the development of integrated campaign ideas that work across channels and formats.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team, designers, videographers, strategists, and producers to bring ideas to life.
Brand Voice & Consistency
Uphold and evolve the brand’s tone of voice across all touchpoints.
Ensure messaging is clear, accurate, on-brand, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Tailor messaging for different audiences (runners, fans, partners, sponsors, media, public).
Content & Execution
Write and refine copy based on feedback from internal stakeholders and partners.
Proofread and QA copy across all deliverables before release.
Support content planning by advising on copy-led formats, storytelling approaches, and narrative flow.

Requirements

3–6 years of experience as a copywriter (agency, brand, editorial, or content-driven environment).
Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across short-form, long-form, and campaign-led copy.
Proven ability to write across OOH, social, digital, websites, EDMs, and film/video scripts.
Strong grasp of brand storytelling, tone of voice, and audience-first communication.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Interest in sports, culture, lifestyle, or community-driven brands is a strong plus.
Ability to take direction, interpret briefs, and also proactively contribute ideas.
Good communication and coordination skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Familiarity with social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends around events.
