Job Description
Singapore International Marathon (SGIMPL) is looking for a Social Media Strategist. The candidate is responsible for defining and leading the company’s social media strategy across all owned and licensed intellectual properties, with a
strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, audience growth, and cultural relevance.
Sitting within the Marketing function and reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role goes
beyond content execution—it is a strategic function that translates business objectives into
scalable social frameworks, ensuring that all social activity contributes meaningfully to brand
positioning, community building, and commercial outcomes.
The Social Media Strategist will lead platform-specific strategies across Meta, TikTok, YouTube,
WhatsApp, and potential regional platforms such as LINE and XiaoHongShu, while partnering
closely with in-house creative teams to conceptualise and execute high-impact, social-first
ideas. The role requires a deep understanding of platform dynamics, audience behaviour, and
the evolving intersection of sports, culture, and digital communities—particularly within running.
This individual will also be responsible for establishing performance benchmarks, developing
reporting frameworks, and continuously optimising strategies based on data, insights, and
market trends.
