Midweight Designer

Plus Collaboratives is looking for a midweight designer to take ownership of projects and grow with the studio over the long term.

This role is for someone who can lead work independently — structuring projects, developing clear design directions, and carrying them through to completion. Our practice is grounded in architecture and driven by research. We expect depth, clarity, and consistency in both thinking and execution. The work is demanding — it requires focus, ownership, and the ability to work through complexity without constant direction. We are rigorous in how we think, and exacting in how we execute.

This is not a passive role. It suits someone who is resilient, self-driven, and takes pride in doing difficult work well.

Role & Responsibilities
• Lead projects from concept through to delivery
• Translate research into clear, buildable design directions
• Develop integrated systems across spatial and visual touchpoints
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and collaborators
• Present work and engage directly with clients
• Support and guide junior designers

• Strong ability to move between concept, narrative, and execution
• Confident managing projects independently with minimal supervision
• High level of detail, consistency, and design rigor
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Intention to commit and grow within the studio
