Job Description
Oceanis Robotics is an innovative maritime technology startup specializing in autonomous subsea robotics. Recently selected by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) as a key partner for in-water hull cleaning innovation trials, we are pioneering safe, eco-friendly, and Ex-certified subsea maintenance solutions for the global commercial shipping market. As we enter a rapid growth phase, we are looking for a hungry, driven Junior Sales Representative to join our commercial team.
Role Purpose
As a Junior Business Development Representative, you will be the engine room of our sales pipeline. Working closely with our Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, reaching out to, and qualifying leads across global shipping lines, ship management companies, and energy majors. Your ultimate goal is to secure high-quality introductory meetings for our senior commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead Generation & Prospecting: Use LinkedIn, Apollo.io, and maritime databases to identify and map out key decision-makers (Technical Superintendents, Fleet Managers, and Fleet Performance Directors) within target shipping segments (LNG, Tankers, Bulk, and Containers).
● Outbound Outreach: Execute cold outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to pitch Oceanis Robotics’ unique value proposition (non-abrasive cavitation tech, zero-discharge compliance, and SIMOPS safety).
● CRM Management: Maintain flawless data hygiene in HubSpot CRM, tracking all interactions, logging lead statuses, and managing automated email sequences.
● Inbound Qualification: Rapidly respond to and qualify inbound inquiries originating from our digital marketing and website.
● Market Intelligence: Stay updated on shipping market trends, carbon regulations (CII/EU ETS), and competitor movements to sharpen your sales pitches.
● Team Collaboration: Coordinate daily with the sales and technical teams (Fadly, Ashton, and Ava) to ensure alignment between market demand and our operational capacities.
Requirements & Qualifications
● Experience: 0–2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or inside sales. Experience in B2B tech, SaaS, logistics, or the maritime industry is a strong plus.
● Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with modern sales tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar CRM and prospecting software.
● Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English. You must be comfortable picking up the phone and writing sharp, professional emails to corporate executives.
● Mindset: Highly resilient, proactive, and target-driven. A startup mindset—comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and continuous learning.
● Location: Must be based in Singapore and comfortable working out of our facility in Jurong / Enterprise Road.
