Job Description

Senior Art Director

About Studio 155

Studio 155 is a Singapore-based marketing and creative agency. As a lean, close-knit team, we work directly with clients across branding, campaigns, digital, and content — which means every team member has real ownership over the work and a direct line to the studio’s leadership. We’re looking for a Senior Art Director who can bring strong creative judgement, hands-on craft, and steady leadership to our creative output.

Role Overview

The Senior Art Director owns the visual and creative quality of Studio 155’s work end-to-end — from ideation and concept development through to final execution and delivery. This role leads creative initiatives across print, digital, social, and campaign work, guiding the internal creative team (designers, and where engaged, photographers and freelance/vendor talent) while staying closely hands-on with the work itself. Given our studio’s size, this is as much a craft and execution role as it is a leadership one.

Key Responsibilities

•       Lead the artistic development of marketing and promotional materials across print, digital, social media, and collateral — delivering compelling, on-brief visual content.

•       Develop creative strategy and Ideate, art direct, and execute original creative concepts that align with client briefs, business objectives, and brand positioning.

•       Oversee multiple projects concurrently from concept through completion, coordinating internal resources and external vendors/freelancers to meet deadlines and quality standards.

•       Guide and mentor designers and junior creative staff, providing hands-on direction, feedback, and skill development to raise the overall creative bar.

•       Prioritise and delegate tasks across simultaneous projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery within a small-team structure.

•       Apply hands-on expertise in design, and where relevant, photography, illustration, or motion graphics to elevate creative output.

•       Collaborate closely with account/client-servicing and marketing colleagues to shape campaign strategies and ensure creative solutions meet client goals.

•       Prepare and present creative concepts, decks, and project plans to clients; represent the studio confidently in client-facing meetings.

•       Stay current with print, digital, and social media trends and best practices, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches into client work.

•       Uphold Studio 155’s creative and brand standards across all client and internal deliverables.

Requirements & Skills

•       Strong artistic and creative vision, with the judgement to guide concepts from brief to final execution.

•       Proven experience leading or mentoring a small creative team, ideally within an agency environment.

•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable presenting ideas to clients and leadership.

•       Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to make sound creative decisions under tight deadlines.

•       Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects/Premiere a plus).

•       High attention to detail paired with strong personal organisation, given the multi-project nature of agency work.

•       Comfortable working in a small, cross-functional team where roles are broader and more hands-on than at a larger agency.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

•       Diploma or Degree in Design, Visual Arts, Advertising, or a related field.

•       6+ years of experience in a creative/design role, with at least 2 years in an art direction or creative leadership capacity.

•       A strong portfolio demonstrating range across branding, digital, social, and campaign work.

•       Prior agency experience strongly preferred.
