Minifiglabs (founded in 2012) is Singapore’s first and best service, offering companies customised gifts made from LEGO® elements. We have worked with global clients like Google, Amazon and Spotify. Half of our clientele is based in the US. Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous designer who can hit the ground running, with a primary focus on creating packaging design solutions for our clients. This includes developing creative concepts, producing digital mock-ups, and preparing print-ready artwork for packaging deliverables. In addition to packaging, your role will also support Minifiglabs in creating digital mock-ups, preparing final artwork for printing, and creating custom sets using LEGO® bricks. Examples of things we design are custom sets/minifigs/wall murals made with LEGO® elements, building instructions, box packaging, 3D models with textures etc. We also expect someone with an openness to learn new pipelines, and who can work in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.

At Minifiglabs, we operate in a casual office environment but are very serious about producing high-quality work with unparalleled results. As part of a growing team where our individual job titles mean little and quality of work means everything, you will be held accountable to a high standard and expected to pitch in where needed across the board.

What A Day Looks Like @ Minifiglabs:

  • Understand the design requirements of a project
  • Propose/conceptualise ideas with digital mock ups (Adobe Photoshop + 3D software)
  • Convert the mock ups into printable artwork (Adobe Illustrator)
  • Design building instructions for sets
  • Create designs for various formats of packaging
  • Occasionally communicate with specific vendors regarding your artwork
  • Design custom LEGO® sets based on project requirements (training provided)
  • We do our best to avoid OT-ing unless necessary. When OT is required, it is accounted for and compensated with time-off

Other Head Turning Criteria:

  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in design related roles, with a strong focus on packaging design
  • A portfolio showcasing your best work relevant to packaging design
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under set deadlines
  • Able to cope well under pressure
  • Possess a positive attitude & are keen to learn
  • Able to demonstrate resourcefulness, resilience and grit
