Who We Are
AssemblyClan is a Singapore-based creative studio making cinematic brand work for luxury, fashion, beauty, and culture across Southeast Asia. We direct, shoot, edit, and finish campaigns for Dior Beauty, Macallan, Raffles City, Marina Bay Sands, and the celebrities and KOLs shaping the region. Markies-winner. AI-augmented. Built on taste.
Job Description
The Role
We’re looking for an editor who treats the cut like the final draft of the film — someone who feels rhythm before they feel the keyboard, who knows that the difference between a campaign and a piece of culture lives in the breath before the beat drops.
You’ll edit and grade work for celebrities, luxury houses, and cultural brands — campaigns that get watched, screenshot, and quoted. From rough assembly to final master, post-production is your room.
This is a craft seat with a clock. You’ll be measured by taste at speed — sharp work, shipped fast, without ever losing the soul.
What You’ll Do
- Cut for emotion, not coverage. Edit brand films, fashion campaigns, celebrity content, and social cutdowns with rhythm, restraint, and cinematic timing.
- Grade like a colorist. DaVinci Resolve is your home. You build looks in node trees and you understand how a grade carries the brand.
- Ship sharp work on tight clocks. Same-day cutdowns. Multi-version social delivery. Campaign timelines that don’t bend. You move fast without compromising taste.
- Hold the room creatively. Sit with directors, producers, and brands. Defend cuts. Suggest better ones. Push the work forward in the edit suite — don’t just execute it.
- Own the full edit-to-finish pipeline. Timelines in Premiere or Resolve, motion in After Effects, conform and roundtrip workflows, delivery across cinema, OOH, broadcast, and social specs.
- Translate references, don’t copy them. A Jonathan Glazer film, a Hedi Slimane runway, a Wong Kar-wai frame — you metabolize them into something new.
- You’re hungry to push AI further. You’ve already experimented with generative tools and you want to compound that fluency alongside people working at the frontier — not learn from scratch.
- Push AI into the workflow. Generative cleanup, upscaling, audio repair, ideation, and accelerating grunt work — without ever letting the work feel like AI made it.
Who You Are
- DaVinci Resolve proficiency is non-negotiable. Not “familiar with” — proficient. Color page fluency, nodes, qualifiers, power windows, LUTs, conform from Premiere or Avid. If grading intimidates you, this isn’t your chair.
- You’re fast and surgical. You ship same-day cutdowns, multi-version social, and campaign deliveries on tight clocks — without your taste slipping.
- 2+ years editing professionally, with a reel that punches above your years. Taste matters more than tenure.
- You’re fluent in Capcut, Premiere Pro and After Effects — Premiere as a fundamental basics, AE for motion, titling, and light VFX.
- You speak fashion and pop culture natively. You know who’s having a moment and who’s about to. You can name three contemporary directors, videographers, photography influencers or editors whose work you study, and tell us why.
- You watch films like an editor. You can talk about why Marvel cuts the way it does, why Euphoria’s grade feels like a feeling, or why a Loewe campaign hits differently.
- You have a point of view. Technical editors are easy to find. We want the ones with conviction.
- Bonus: Beauty, fashion, or luxury experience. 3D or motion graphics. Sound design instincts.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Cut for icons — Dior Beauty, Macallan, Raffles City, Marina Bay Sands, top celebrities and KOLs.
- Build a reel that gets you anywhere — Markies, Spikes Asia, Cannes Lions level.
- Sharpen your AI craft. We work at the frontier — Midjourney, generative video, AI-augmented finishing. You’ll build that fluency in real campaigns, not in a course.
- Sit in the room with directors, photographers, stylists, and producers.
- Push the craft — new color science, new AI tools, new finishing workflows.
- Be seen — OOH, social, in-flight, retail, brand platforms.
