Who We Are

We are an ambitious, fast-growing payments company with operations in Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, preparing to expand into the UK, Uzbekistan, and broader Central and Southeast Asia. Our mission is to revolutionize the cross-border payments landscape by offering compliant, secure, and efficient solutions in frontier and emerging markets. We are now seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our global expansion, fundraising, licensing, and operational strategy. This is a pivotal leadership role with the opportunity to build and scale a major payments infrastructure across multiple geographies.

Job Description

Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (Relocation preferred, remote/hybrid considered)
Industry: Payments | Fintech | Financial Services
Experience: 7+ years in payments or banking
Language: English (required); Chinese or Russian (preferred)
Travel: Frequent travel to UK, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Expansion: Launch and scale payment operations in the UK, Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Regulatory Compliance: Lead licensing processes with Central Banks and financial regulators in multiple jurisdictions.
Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize operations in Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, ensuring seamless coordination with new markets.
Fundraising: Attract and secure investment to fuel growth and development.
Team Leadership: Build and lead high-performance teams across countries and cultures.
Networking & Partnerships: Leverage industry connections to establish strategic alliances, clients, and government relationships.
Project Management: Oversee and deliver complex, multi-country projects efficiently and on time.

Requirements

7+ years of senior leadership in payments, fintech, or banking.
Proven experience securing licenses from Central Banks or financial authorities.
Deep knowledge of payment solutions, financial technology, and compliance standards.
Strong background in international expansion and project management.
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese or Russian is a strong plus.
Strong investor and financial institution network.
Willingness to relocate to Ulaanbaatar; remote or hybrid arrangements may be discussed.
Willing to travel frequently across Central Asia, the UK, and Southeast Asia.
