Job Description

We’re looking for passionate Retail & Events Interns to join our team!

This internship offers hands-on experience in retail operations and event coordination within the dynamic social enterprise space.

As an intern, you’ll support day-to-day retail tasks such as inventory tracking, managing our e-commerce platform, and fulfilling online and corporate orders, all in support of the meaningful causes behind our brand partners.

You’ll also help source, plan, and coordinate workshops and events centred around sustainability and eco-conscious living, while contributing to content creation for our social media and website.

This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in the heart of the #socialenterprise scene. We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, independent, and creative, and who is comfortable working flexible or irregular hours when needed.

Main duties include:

 

1. Retail 

  • Including tracking inventory and fulfilment of online and corporate orders
  • Managing our e-commerce platform, including creating and managing product listings
  • Assist with customer enquiries and cashiering duties at the physical outlets
  • Set up and maintain visual merchandising displays
  • Writing blogposts and newsletters to spread awareness of various causes

2. Events

  • Assist in event planning, execution and brainstorming
  • Manage RSVP for guest list for events
  • On-site set up and coordination with vendors/clients
  • Administrative
  • Assist in general operational and administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Passion for social and environmental causes
  • Very pro-active and a multi-tasker
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and drive results
  • Team player who is resourceful and great with problem solving
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Other Information

  • Commitment period 3 – 6 months
  • 5-day work week, including one weekend
  • Allowance is $800 per month
