About the role
We are looking for a skilled English to Tamil (Singapore) translator to join GTE Localize on a casual basis. This is an opportunity for a professional translator who is passionate about delivering high-quality translations and helping bridge communication gaps between English and Tamil-speaking communities in Singapore.

Description
– Language pair: English to Tamil (Singapore dialect)
– Content: A public health survey regarding hearing loss, dementia risk, and hearing aid adoption among local seniors.
– Target Audience: Local Singaporean seniors (elderly).
– Mode of Survey: Enumerator-assisted.

Requirements
– Strong localization skills with more than 5 years of experience
– Native Singaporean Tamil speakers or Tamil linguists based in Singapore with extensive, long-term experience working on localized content for the Singapore government/healthcare sector.
– Familiarity with CAT tools and translation management systems, and the ability to follow style guides and terminology glossaries.
– Attention to detail, strong time management and the ability to communicate effectively with PM team.
