Job Description
JOB MISSION
As a Senior Digital Copywriter at Hashtag Interactive, you are expected to operate beyond execution. In addition to producing strong copy, you play a key role in shaping content quality, strengthening strategic thinking, and supporting the development of junior copywriters within the team.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
First 90 Days
We expect you to hit the ground running by quickly immersing yourself in our team, processes, and clients’ brands. Here’s what success looks like in your first three months:
Master Our Workflow:
- Understand Hashtag Interactive’s workflows, approval processes, and ways of working within the Content team and cross-functional squads
- Build working relationships with key stakeholders across Strategy, Accounts, Design, and Animation
- Review existing content playbooks, brand guidelines, and account histories for assigned clients
Understand the Accounts You Support:
- Develop a strong understanding of assigned accounts, including client objectives, audiences, tone of voice, and success metrics
- Begin producing high-quality, on-brand copy across relevant formats and platforms
- Identify and surface opportunities to improve clarity, effectiveness, or strategic alignment in existing content
Team Contribution
- Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorms, and reviews
- Begin providing informal guidance and feedback to junior copywriters
- Observe strengths, gaps, and development opportunities within the content team
Develop a Content Toolkit:
- Create reference materials (e.g., tone guides, content matrices) for your assigned accounts to streamline future content creation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the creative process and propose improvements.
Ongoing Responsibilities
Copywriting and Content Strategy
- Write clear, compelling, and effective copy across social, digital, campaign, and other content formats
- Translate briefs into strong ideas, narratives, and platform-appropriate messaging
- Proactively suggest content ideas, angles, and improvements based on insight and experience
Creative Quality and Standards
- Maintain consistently high standards of writing and thinking across all assigned work
- Review copy produced by junior copywriters when required and provide constructive feedback
- Help raise the overall level of craft, clarity, and strategic thinking within the content team
Coaching and Mentorship
- Support the development of junior copywriters (including current and future hires)
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve writing quality, confidence, and platform fluency
- Share trends, references, and best practices to keep the team’s work fresh and relevant
Collaboration and Contribution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, effective content solutions
- Contribute to brainstorms, pitches, and campaign ideation as required
- Support the development or refinement of content playbooks, guidelines, and internal standards where appropriate
Professional Standards
- Stay current on cultural, platform, and content trends relevant to client work
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and professionalism in all responsibilities
