Job Description
JOB MISSION
The Social Media Writer is someone who lives and breathes digital culture. You know what’s trending, what’s fading, and what brands should talk about next. You’ll write sharp, scroll-stopping copy for a variety of platforms, from IG and TikTok to LinkedIn and Facebook, while keeping everything aligned with brand strategy.
While social is your home turf, you’ll also work on scripts, short-form narratives, carousels, and the occasional long-format piece when needed. You’ll collaborate closely with the Content, Design, and Accounts teams to bring ideas to life in a way that feels fresh, relevant, and unmistakably on-brand.
Your writing should spark engagement, build communities, and drive results.

We want you to settle in quickly and make an impact early. In your first three months, here’s what success looks like:
Master Our Workflow
- Get familiar with the Content team’s processes, approvals, and handoffs.
- Learn how we work with Design and Animation to develop high-performing social assets.
- Understand how strategy, insights, and creative thinking come together in our social work.
Know the Brands You Support
- Immerse yourself in the tone, personality, and audience nuances of each assigned account.
- Work with the Accounts team to understand client goals, content pillars, and KPIs for social.
Start Contributing Fast
- Begin delivering polished, on-brand social copy.
- Join brainstorms and ideation sessions, actively pitching content angles, hooks, and formats.
- Translate briefs into clear social-first concepts and executions.
Help Build Playbooks
- Create reference materials (voice guidelines, hook libraries, trend trackers) for your accounts.
- Identify content opportunities (formats, themes, moments) to enhance social performance.
DAY-TO-DAY EXPECTATIONS
- Write and develop copy across social platforms: IG, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and more.
- Craft hooks, scroll-stoppers, captions, carousel narratives, social scripts, and short-form content.
- Contribute ideas for trending formats, soundbites, and executions.
Support long-format content when needed (articles, thought leadership pieces, blog posts). - Work closely with Design, Animation, and Accounts to ensure every piece is cohesive and aligned.
- Respond to feedback quickly and revise content with clarity and intention.
Stay plugged into digital culture: platform changes, emerging creators, trends, and audience behaviours. - Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all social touchpoints.
