Content Intern

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and creative intern to join our team at Hashtag Interactive. This is a hybrid full-time internship where you will get hands-on experience in content creation, including writing, photography, videography, and social media management.

First 30 Days Expectations:

• Familiarise yourself with at least one account’s Content Strategy:
  • Understand the tone, style, and guidelines for content creation.
  • Review and study current and past content to understand the brand’s voice and style.

• Introduction to Tools and Platforms:
  • Learn the tools, platforms and processes used by the team.
  • Begin using these tools for content creation and scheduling under guidance.

• Shadow Team and Attend Team Meetings:
  • Shadow experienced content and accounts personnel to learn the basics of account management, content ideation, creation, and editing.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and discussions to understand workflow and expectations.

• Assist with Content Projects:
  • Begin contributing to smaller content projects such as social media posts or photo/video editing.
  • Receive feedback on initial work to refine skills and understanding.

Typical Expectations:

• Content Creation and Editing:
  • Assist in creating written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms including social media and websites.
  • Edit and refine content to ensure it aligns with the brand voice and meets client expectations.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Work closely with designers, account managers, and strategists to ensure cohesive content strategies and execution.
  • Participate in client meetings, shoots, and interviews as required.

• Manage Content Calendars and Scheduling:
  • Assist in managing content calendars and scheduling posts across different platforms.
  • Ensure that content is published timely and consistently.

• Support on Shoots and Content Production:
  • Assist in producing and capturing photos and videos for social content, including Instagram Reels and TikTok videos.
  • Help plan and execute on-site shoots and interviews, both in the office and on location.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content trends.
• Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and social media management tools is a plus.
• A strong portfolio or samples of previous work in content creation (e.g., writing samples, photography, videos).
• Commitment to a minimum of 3 months of full-time work.

Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid internship. You will be expected to work during office hours, Monday to Friday. Some days will be spent in the office or on official business (such as shoots, interviews, and client meetings), while other days will be remote (work from home).
