Founded in 2016, Hides and Thread is a Singapore-based purveyor of fine handcrafted leather goods and a leading provider of leathercrafting workshops. We believe that leather is more than just a material — it is a medium of creativity, craftsmanship, and connection.
At Hides and Thread, we take pride in creating timeless leather products that blend design, durability, and functionality. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using traditional techniques and premium materials, embodying our commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Beyond our products, we are passionate about making leathercrafting accessible to everyone. Through our workshops, we have introduced over 5,000 participants and more than 100 corporate clients to the art of leathercrafting — offering hands-on experiences that nurture creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation for handcrafted work.

Job Description
Responsibilities
As a Creative and Design Intern, your key responsibilities will include:
Product Design:
- Collaborating with the product design team to conceptualize and create innovative leather products
- Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and user preferences.
Graphic Design:
- Creating visually appealing graphics for various digital and print media, including marketing materials, social media content, and presentations.
- Assisting in the design and layout of promotional materials such as brochures, banners, and posters.
General Responsibilities:
- Contributing creative ideas and solutions during team brainstorming sessions.
- Adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
- Communicating effectively with team members and incorporating feedback into design iterations.
No experience in leather-crafting required. Students are welcomed to apply as part of their school internship program.
