Freelance Videographer / Photographer — Artist & Studio Content

Job Description

INSTINC is looking for a freelance videographer / photographer to create engaging social media content documenting artists, their studios, and creative processes across Singapore.

This is a 6-month project beginning in October 2026, covering 10 artists and studio locations. We’re looking for someone with a strong visual eye who can capture both polished and candid moments — from the atmosphere of a studio to the details of an artist’s process.

The project

• 10 artists / studio locations over 6 months
• Approximately 1–2 studio shoots per month
• Short-form video: 3 vertical videos per artist (30 videos total)
  15–30 sec process / studio / aesthetic content
  30–45 sec artist or practice spotlights
• Photography: 10–15 high-resolution stills per artist
  Artist portraits
  Studio environments
  Works in progress
  Details, tools and materials
• Editing of vertical Reels / TikToks with basic cuts, pacing, colour grading and text overlays

We’re looking for someone who

• Has experience shooting and editing short-form video for Instagram / TikTok
• Is confident with both video and still photography
• Has a strong eye for composition, light, movement and atmosphere
• Can work comfortably in artist studios and adapt to different spaces and working styles
• Can capture content that feels natural, contemporary and visually engaging rather than overly staged
• Is organised, reliable and able to manage a recurring 6-month schedule
• Has their own camera and basic production equipment

Bonus if you

• Have experience working with artists, galleries, creative studios or cultural organisations
• Are comfortable directing light-touch interviews or artist conversations
• Have a distinctive visual style or strong sense of storytelling
