Roles & Responsibilities

 

Beyond just picking up a camera and hitting record, you’ll learn the important things you need to think and plan for, even before rolling in order to nail that perfect shot. This opens up a world of opportunities for you to realize better short films and handle broadcast work now and in your future career.

 

This is a great role to launch yourself into the creative and broadcast industry.

 

Reporting to the Head of Production, you will:

– be involved in all production shoots on sets and locations

– assist as a camera assistant or a junior grip

– learn how to set up lighting, and how it is more important than the camera used

– get to play with all the latest gears and learn how they work best together

– interpret the script and assist to plan for the deployment and scheduling

– get to operate the video camera on suitable shoots

– fulfill the maintenance regime of all the gears and equipment

 

Learning Outcomes

Practice operating and setting up professional grade cameras, lighting, and other tools in the set.

Learn to troubleshoot the team’s equipment connections when needed.

Learn good timing when it comes to taking footages while using professional grade cameras.

Learn communication, teamwork, coordination, and other soft skills as the intern works with other videographers, the team, and clients.
