Job Description

Role Purpose
The Community & Programming Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering Mandala Club’s community-led and curated programming ecosystem.

This role designs, governs, and executes high-quality cultural experiences — spanning Circles, member-led interest groups, and curator-led events — while maintaining coherence, quality, and strategic intent across all programming.

The role ensures Mandala’s programming remains distinctive, intentional, and scalable, enabling meaningful member participation without compromising Mandala’s cultural standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Circles & Member-led and Membership Programming
Design and steward the Circles framework, including committees, interest groups, roles, cadence, and governance
Lead membership engagement activities including but not limited to supper clubs, social activities, etc.
Serve as the primary point of alignment for Circles leads and member committees
Guide members in shaping event ideas, formats, and collaborations that are feasible, high-quality, and aligned with Mandala’s cultural positioning
Review Circles programming proposals for conceptual clarity, feasibility, and experience quality
Ensure member-led initiatives remain empowered while upholding Mandala’s programming standards
Identify opportunities to evolve Circles into repeatable formats or signature series
2. Curated Cultural Programming
Contribute to the development of Mandala’s curated cultural programme in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Culture
Support the planning and delivery of curated events, including talks, panels, salons, dinners, and special activations
Help maintain balance across themes, formats, audiences, and cadence
Ensure coherence between curated and member-led programming
3. Programming Operations & Delivery
Oversee the programming calendar across both curated and community-led initiatives
Coordinate closely with Operations, F&B, Membership, and Marketing to ensure programmes are executable and well delivered
Anticipate and resolve operational challenges to support smooth execution
Maintain momentum and clarity across the programming pipeline
4. Programming Stewardship
Oversee the coordination and flow of programming activity across teams and formats
Ensure clarity of direction, pacing, and quality across the programming pipeline
Maintain oversight of execution standards while enabling effective day-to-day delivery
Act as a key point of alignment and problem-solving within the programming ecosystem
Support a healthy, accountable, and high-functioning programming environment
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:

Member Engagement to translate member interests, attendance patterns, and feedback into viable programming
Marketing & Design to inform programme narratives, positioning, and promotional priorities
Operations & F&B to align on execution feasibility, service flow, and on-the-ground delivery
Ensure information flows clearly across teams to reduce friction, duplication, and misalignment.

6. Quality Control & Experience Design
Uphold Mandala’s programming quality bar across all events
Evaluate programmes beyond attendance metrics — including energy, flow, audience mix, and cultural relevance
Identify which formats should be refined, scaled, or retired
Continuously evolve Circles and programming models based on performance and feedback
Success Measures
Quality and consistency of programming output
Effectiveness and sustainability of Circles and member-led initiatives
Smooth delivery of curated and community-led programmes
Reduced escalation and operational friction
Strong cross-functional collaboration
Clear improvement in cultural coherence and programme identity
