Senior Industrial Designer

Job Description

OSIM is looking for a Senior Industrial Designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of wellness products.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fluid work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and possesses an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing cost-efficient designs and CMF solutions that produce compellingly desirable products that consumers desire to own.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, develop and implement new product ideas with color, material and finishing solutions
• Lead or participate in brainstorming exercises with cross functional teams to develop innovative ideas
• Define and improve user interaction on products and remote controllers / control panel.
• Creates 2D/3D illustrations of design concepts and presentation materials
• Prepares or coordinates preparation of working drawing from sketches to design specifications
• Ensure design intent from development till production within the corporate design guidelines
• Manage multiple design deadlines concurrently

Requirements:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in industrial design
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience in product design development
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and partners
• Keep up to date on current trends in technology & design movements
• Good knowledge of C.M.F finishing applications for consumer electronics
• Good knowledge of human-centered design and usability studies
• Good knowledge of mainstream manufacturing processes and applications
• High proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator , Rhino & Keyshot
• Excellent teamwork and project management skills
• Good analytical and communication skills
