Job Description
Design Intern (6 Month Internship)
We are looking for a Design Intern to join our team and contribute to the festival’s visual storytelling for SGIFF 2025. This role offers hands-on experience in designing marketing and branding materials for a major cultural event. You will work closely with the Marketing team to develop engaging visuals that align with SGIFF’s brand identity.
Period of Engagement: July to 19 December 2025.Â
Ideally, currently enrolled students must be able to commit at least 20 hours weekly from July to September and full-time from October onwards till the end of the Festival.
Currently enrolled students should be prepared to work full time during their school breaks.
Interested applicants may send a copy of your CV, a picture of yourself, and a link to your portfolio or attach past samples of design work by 30 June 2025. Internships are accepted on a rolling basis, so you are encouraged to submit as early as you can.
 Job Scope:
- Assist in the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including posters, social media content (graphics and video content), brochures and event collaterals.
- Support the team in maintaining brand consistency across all visual assets.
- Collaborate with the marketing and programming teams to conceptualise creative campaigns.
- Assist in photo editing and simple video editing for promotional materials.
- Help organize and maintain digital asset libraries.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the festival’s visual identity and social media presence.
- Coordinate timelines and deliverables effectively on assigned projects.
- Assist in general administration and coordination for the Festival, which may include event organisation and other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum qualifications – Diploma/ A Levels. Currently enrolled students are welcome to apply.
- Able to commit for 6 months, full-time (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required. Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro would be advantageous.
- Hardworking, dedicated fast-learner, and able to work independently and yet a team player.
- Responsible, calm, meticulous, organised and able to meet timelines.
- Experience with project and event management—the ability to multitask and manage several jobs at once—will be an advantage.
- Interest in film and/or the arts is preferred.
