Role Purpose
The Social Media Intern supports the social and content team in creating, publishing, and managing social media content across platforms. This role is designed as a learning opportunity for individuals who are curious about social media, digital content, and agency work, and who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Support and Publishing
- Assist in preparing social media content such as captions, hashtags, and basic post formatting.
- Support content scheduling and publishing under the guidance of the social team.
- Ensure content is published accurately and on time according to approved calendars.
On-Ground Content Support (Photo / Video)
- Support on-ground social content shoots, including basic video capture, behind-the-scenes support, and coordination under guidance.
- Assist with simple mobile video recording for social media formats when required.
- Help with preparation and wrap-up tasks for content shoots, such as equipment setup, shot lists, and asset organisation.
- Follow guidance from content leads to ensure shoots run smoothly and safely.
Community and Engagement Support
- Monitor comments and messages on assigned social media accounts.
- Assist in responding to basic community interactions using approved guidelines.
- Escalate sensitive, negative, or complex interactions to the relevant team members promptly.
Reporting and Learning
- Support the collection of basic performance data such as reach, engagement, and impressions.
- Assist in compiling simple reports and observations for internal use.
- Learn how content performance informs future content ideas and improvements.
Collaboration and Operations
- Work closely with Social Content Executives, designers, and copywriters to support content delivery.
- Assist with administrative and coordination tasks related to social media operations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal team members.
Professional Development
- Learn about social media platforms, content formats, and best practices.
- Stay curious about trends and new features across social platforms.
- Act responsibly, professionally, and with integrity at all times.

- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in marketing, communications, media, or a related field.
