The Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) is Singapore’s foremost western opera company, renowned for presenting high-quality performances featuring both international and local talents. Established in 1990 to be a part of Singapore’s burgeoning arts scene, SLO nurtures young artists, conducts educational outreach, and collaborates with communities to cultivate a passion for western opera, both for practitioners and audiences. The company is committed to expanding its repertoire, showcasing diverse works while maintaining artistic integrity. SLO stands as a cornerstone in promoting the arts and specifically western opera in Singapore.

You will assist us in the following:
Marketing & Communications
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns
Manage and monitor social media platforms, including content creation and scheduling
Update and maintain the company website
Write and proofread marketing materials, ensuring alignment with SLO’s branding
Coordinate with designers and vendors for timely delivery of marketing collateral
Assist in preparing sponsorship proposals and identifying potential sponsors
Event Support
- Support planning and executing on-site branding for events such as concerts and outreach programs
- Coordinate event logistics with internal teams and external partners
- Assist in preparing post-event reports
Administrative Support
- Manage database entries and keep accurate records of marketing activities
- Organise marketing inventory, including promotional materials and event supplies
- Archive marketing collateral and relevant documents for future reference
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
- ITE Certificate or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Arts Management, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in a small company. Fresh graduates with relevant internships in similar capacity will be considered
- A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation
- Basic knowledge of website CMS (Wix) and digital marketing tools
- Familiarity with design software like Photoshop, Canva, or similar is an advantage
- A keen interest in the arts, especially western classical music will be helpful
- Preferably Singaporean
Salary Range
$1,800 – $2,500
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
Working outside these hours may be required during events, with off-in-lieu granted at Management’s discretion.
