Job Description

We are looking for a diligent intern with some experience working in an arts environment. You must be able to commit fully to the duration of the internship. The working hours during production days will be long. You may be required to stay in the evenings or come early in the mornings. But the reward of seeing through the whole process of creating an artwork and making the cast and crew and audiences happy at the end of the day will be intoxicating!
You will be part of a small team managing the daily running of the office. You will be directly involved in the company’s production of our annual season programmes, including chorus concerts, Gala Concert and Opera staging.

Job Responsibilities

Production & Outreach

  • Assist in the Production Executive and Outreach & Community Executive in administrative preparation for the production
  • Providing logistical and backstage support during rehearsal and performances, including set-up and teardown
  • Arrange for auditions as needed
  • Act as a liaison between the internal team and external parties

SLO Choruses

  • Arrange and attend all chorus rehearsals and performances according to the schedule given
  • Prepare necessary materials for rehearsals

Administrative

  • Conduct database entry and regularly update records
  • Organise and update inventory periodically

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm

Interns will be required to work during performance days that usually take place in the weekends and in the evenings. Interns will then be given time-off the following day or at the end of the production, to rest.

 

Requirements

  • You must possess or currently pursuing at least a Diploma in Arts Management, Arts and Theatre Management, Marketing & Communications or equivalent
  • You must be articulate with excellent writing and communication skills
  • You must have excellent attention to details
  • You must have excellent organisational skills, able to multi-task & prioritise workload
  • Experienced working in an arts organisation or knowledge of the arts sector in Singapore is an advantage
