Job Description

Who We Are

Time Out is the global guide to city culture. For over 50 years, we’ve been helping people discover the very best of their cities – from restaurants and bars to arts, culture, travel and entertainment.

Today, Time Out reaches millions of readers across digital, social and video platforms, covering cities around the world including London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong. Our mission is simple: to inspire people to go out and explore the best their city has to offer.

The Singapore team is a small but dynamic editorial team producing daily news, reviews, guides and social content that reaches audiences across the region.

If you’re obsessed with discovering new restaurants, exhibitions, events and trends – and want to learn how digital media really works behind the scenes – this internship is for you.

About the Role

Time Out Singapore is looking for an Editorial Intern who is curious about the city, plugged into internet culture and eager to learn how modern digital media works.

You’ll work closely with the editorial team to research, write and publish news stories, identify trending topics and assist with content production across the website and social media platforms.

This is a hands-on internship where you’ll gain real newsroom experience, from pitching ideas to publishing articles on a live media platform.

You must be able to commit to a minimum 3–6 month internship.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Journalism, Communications, Media, Marketing or related fields
  • Strong writing skills with a clear, engaging and concise voice
  • Deep interest in Singapore’s food, nightlife, culture and events
  • Comfortable with fast-paced digital publishing and tight deadlines
  • Active user of Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, social media or CMS platforms is a plus (but not required)
