JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Your duties as a Social Media Intern are as follows:
1. Business Development Support
- Shadow and support the Business Development Director in daily prospecting and client outreach efforts.
- Attend selected client meetings and internal discussions to observe and provide a fresh perspective where relevant.
- Help with note-taking, tracking follow-ups, and preparing summary briefs from meetings.
2. Market and Industry Research
- Conduct desk research to support pitches and outreach – including sector analysis, client backgrounders, and competitor benchmarks.
- Identify and summarise emerging trends relevant to Type A’s service offerings (e.g. AI, KOL management, automation).
- Help maintain a database of prospect companies, client leads, and contacts.
3. Pitch Development & Admin
- Assist in preparing pitch materials and presentation decks (gathering data, imagery, or case studies).
- Contribute to internal idea sessions and brainstorms for potential clients.
- Support with logistics for pitch prep (scheduling, document collation, etc.).
4. Social Media Research & Content Support
- Monitor relevant brand, creator, and platform trends across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others.
- Help compile inspiration boards and case references for the creative team.
- Assist in quality checks or research tasks related to live campaigns and reporting.
5. General Internship Exposure
- Participate in weekly team check-ins to get broad exposure to agency operations.
- Provide a regular reflection or POV on what’s being learnt and how processes could improve.
- Be proactive in asking questions, offering help, and exploring different parts of the business during downtime.
