About Vocalise

With over 18 years of expertise, Vocalise has built a portfolio spanning well-known international brands across luxury lifestyle and hospitality, as well as private events. We specialise in planning, designing and executing music performances around the vision each client has for their event.

About the role

Ever wondered what happens before the first note?

Every performance we deliver rests on the work behind it — the right musicians booked, the schedules aligned, the scores in the right hands, everyone knowing exactly where to be and when. It’s quiet work, and it’s the reason the night goes beautifully.

That’s what you’ll be learning, and growing into owning. You’ll start alongside our team, and over your first few months take on the artiste booking and scheduling yourself. It’s a real seat rather than a shadowing role.

It’s a five-month internship, with a path to a paid full-time role for the right person.

What you’ll be doing

  • Booking musicians for events, rehearsals and our Candlelight concert series, keeping the schedule accurate so nothing clashes
  • Looking after our artiste booking sheet — it’s what our musicians are paid from, so care here really matters
  • Scheduling rehearsals and working closely with our events team
  • Getting everything ready ahead of each event, so the day runs without surprises
  • Joining us on site to support the team, and capturing behind-the-scenes and event footage for our socials
  • Lending a hand with proposals and client follow-ups

What we’re hoping you’ll bring

  • You’re careful with detail. A booking entered wrong means a musician turns up on the wrong day, so accuracy matters more here than speed
  • You follow things through, and you chase when someone hasn’t come back to you
  • You’re comfortable coordinating with professional musicians, many of whom will be considerably more experienced than you
  • You communicate clearly and warmly in English, written and spoken
  • You can hold several things at once without letting any of them slip
  • You’re happy working some evenings and weekends, as scheduled
  • A love of music helps, and knowledge of classical music is a real plus

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Events Management, Arts Management, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
  • Undergraduates and fresh graduates are very welcome

What you’ll gain

  • A proper look at how a small entertainment company actually runs, from booking through to performance night
  • Direct mentoring from our team, working alongside you daily
  • Real ownership of the artiste schedule as you grow into it, rather than only supporting someone else’s work
  • Time with our musicians and our Candlelight concert series, seeing how a performance comes together from the inside
  • A clear path: for the right person, this becomes a paid full-time role at the end

Let’s talk

We’d love to hear from you. Send your CV and a short note to admin@vocalise.com.sg — tell us about your musical experiences, whether that’s playing, attending or organising, and about a time you caught a mistake before it became a problem.
