Executive Director Sueo Mizuma established Mizuma Art Gallery in Tokyo in 1994. Since its opening in Gillman Barracks, Singapore in 2012, the gallery aims for the promotion of East Asian artists in the region as well as the introduction of Southeast Asian artists to the international art scene

Job Description

Mizuma Gallery is currently looking for a Gallery Assistant (Full-time).

Duties and responsibilities:
• General gallery duties (gallery space operations, exhibition set-up, general administrative functions relating to exhibition planning)
• Public relations, including managing social media and creating PR materials.
• Front-of-house duties and sales

Requirements:
• Interest in contemporary art and visual art.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Must be meticulous, proactive, motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You are expected to work 5 days/week, including 1 weekend day, and during gallery events. Gallery is closed on Mondays.
• Position is permanent full-time (subject to a three-month probation period), and is open only for Singaporean/PR, starting from January 2025.
