Job Description
The Role:
We are looking for a hybrid Product Designer & Manager who can take an app from an initial idea all the way to a developer-ready handoff. You will operate as the “CEO of the product” for multiple projects simultaneously. You will conceptualize the user journey, design the interfaces, and work directly with our development team via GitHub to bring internal SaaS upgrades and new client apps to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Product Ownership: Take complete charge of new product builds—whether it is a major feature upgrade for the HeyRace SaaS, an internal tool, or a brand-new custom app for a commercial client.
- End-to-End UX/UI Design: Manage the entire design lifecycle. You will map user flows, build low-fidelity UX wireframes, create high-fidelity UI mockups, and finalize the visual design.
- Developer Handoff & QA: Act as the bridge between design and development. You will prepare pixel-perfect design files, document technical requirements, and hand off assets to our developer (via GitHub/Figma), ensuring the final coded product matches your vision.
- Agency-Style Portfolio Management: Simultaneously manage the timelines, design sprints, and development cycles for multiple distinct products at once without dropping the ball.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or Technical Product Management, preferably in a fast-paced SaaS, agency, or startup environment.
- UX/UI Mastery & A Keen Sense of Design: You have a meticulous eye for modern aesthetics, layout, and mobile-first design. You are highly proficient in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping). A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end app or web design is strictly required.
- Technical Literacy & Handoff: You understand how front-end development works (HTML/CSS/React). You know how to structure files, write tickets, and use platforms like GitHub or Jira to collaborate smoothly with developers.
- Highly Meticulous & Organized: You thrive in an agency-style environment. You can juggle wireframing a client app in the morning while QA testing a HeyRace feature in the afternoon, with zero dropped details.
- AI Tool Familiarity: You know how to leverage AI to speed up your workflow, from generating placeholder copy (ChatGPT, Claude) to assisting with design ideation (Midjourney, UIzard, or Canva Magic Studio).
