Job Description

ASSISTANT PRODUCER (FULL-TIME)

We’re looking for a high-potential Assistant Producer who wants to become an exceptional Producer.

Great video productions don’t happen by accident.

They happen because someone keeps everything aligned: the team, the timeline, and the details.

We’re looking for someone early in their career (0 – 3 years) who is organised, thoughtful, calm under pressure, and excited to learn how professional productions really run.

Great Assistant Producers here eventually grow into Producers who confidently run projects from concept to delivery.

At Intuitive Films, we create Videos Designed to Influence, helping organisations communicate ideas that matter through strategic storytelling and strong production craft.

For over 19 years, we’ve partnered with organisations across industries to produce films that inform, inspire and drive meaningful action.

We’re a small, focused team that believes in doing quality work.

Our culture is built on:

  • Pursuing excellence
  • Constantly growing
  • Creating win-win-win outcomes
  • Agile thinking with disciplined execution
  • Being authentic

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll support the production and creative team across the entire production pipeline.

Pre-Production
Help set projects up for success.

• Assist in preparing proposals, budgets and timelines
• Coordinate recce, call sheets, crew bookings and equipment rentals
• Consolidate client feedback clearly (no scattered comments, please)
• Track deliverables such as scripts, storyboards, animatics, shot lists and graphics
• Liaise with internal and freelance team members (Director, DOP, editor, animator etc) to ensure alignment

Production Coordination
Be part of the team keeping shoots running smoothly.

• Be present on shoot days when required
• Ensure talent, crew and clients understand the flow of the shoot
• Track schedules so we avoid unnecessary overtime
• Resolve on-ground logistics and unexpected curveballs

Post-Production
Help projects move efficiently toward final delivery.

• Track versions (V1, V2, V3… final… final-final!)
• Consolidate client feedback clearly before passing it to editors, making sure the feedback is structured and actionable
• Monitor deadlines and flag risks early
• Coordinate exports and delivery formats

Administrative & Financial Support
Support the operational side of production.

• Track petty cash and production expenses
• Assist with invoice documentation and vendor coordination
• Maintain organised documentation for each project

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

This role is ideal for someone with 0 – 3 years of experience in video production, agencies, media, events or similar environments.

You are someone who:

• Communicates clearly in writing and speaking (We work closely with senior stakeholders, which means clarity, professionalism, and strong communication matter)
• Is highly organised and detail-oriented
• Stays calm when timelines shift, or production gets challenging
• Can manage multiple projects without losing track of details
• Understands the basic production workflow (pre → shoot → post → delivery)

Most importantly: You understand that “urgent” doesn’t mean “chaotic.”

WHAT A GREAT ASSISTANT PRODUCER LOOKS LIKE HERE

The best Assistant Producers at Intuitive are people who:

• Anticipate problems before they become real issues
• Keep projects organised even when things get busy
• Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues and collaborators
• Stay calm when production inevitably throws curveballs
• Understand people dynamics
• Know how to stand your ground politely and firmly when needed
• Take pride in making the entire team’s work easier

They care about doing good work properly, not just finishing tasks quickly.
