Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
Bandwagon is looking for a Creative Lead to shape standout creative work for a portfolio of premium entertainment and hospitality brands in Singapore.
This is a role for someone who knows how to turn compelling brand experiences, campaigns and cultural moments into content people actually want to watch and share. You’ll set the creative standard across campaigns and always-on content, while staying close enough to the work to make things happen.
We’re looking for a visually discerning storyteller with an exceptional eye for aesthetics, a strong grasp of contemporary art and creative trends, sharp instincts for culture and social media, and the judgement to lead a small, agile production team. You’ll also serve as the creative custodian of the portfolio, taking ownership of the quality of all creative output and representing the team’s vision in discussions with senior client stakeholders and brand principals.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Shape the creative
- Develop distinctive creative concepts for brand campaigns, entertainment and hospitality experiences, seasonal moments, launches and always-on social content.
- Stay ahead of developments in art, visual culture, design, typography, photography, film and creative technology, translating relevant trends into fresh, original work rather than following them blindly.
- Champion each brand’s ethos and visual identity, bringing strong aesthetic judgement and creative integrity to every decision.
- Build cohesive visual narratives across art direction, photography, video, motion graphics, digital key visuals and social assets.
- Adapt creative approaches to different brand identities and audiences, balancing premium brand presentation with content that feels current and authentic.
- Pitch clear, compelling concepts and creative treatments to internal teams and clients.
Create for today’s platforms
- Lead the development of scroll-stopping Instagram Reels, Stories, short-form videos, motion assets, carousels, teasers and event recaps, with formats tailored to each platform.
- Translate culture, hospitality, people and live experiences into strong stories, with attention to opening hooks, pacing, sound, framing, typography and platform-safe layouts.
- Collaborate with social and account teams on editorial calendars, campaign rollouts, rapid-response opportunities and paid-social creative variations.
- Use audience and performance insights to test ideas, sharpen content and improve creative effectiveness over time.
Lead production and delivery
- Own the creative process from brief and concept through shot lists, storyboards, production, editing, design reviews and final delivery.
- Art-direct on-site photo and video shoots, including brand experiences, campaigns, launches and live events.
- Brief, guide and give actionable feedback to designers, videographers, editors, motion artists and external partners, contributing hands-on when needed.
- Critically evaluate and review all creative output across the assigned portfolio, including campaign concepts, design, photography, video, motion and social assets, before client presentation or release. Set the benchmark for brand fit, originality, storytelling, execution and attention to detail.
- Provide decisive, constructive direction to raise the standard of work, challenge ideas that do not meet the brief, and ensure revisions are resolved rather than simply passed along.
- Plan production resources, timelines and priorities sensibly, and manage last-minute changes without compromising essential quality.
- Ensure asset formats, music usage, creative rights and approved production tools comply with platform and client requirements.
Lead creative conversations and stakeholder engagement
- Take the lead in creative reviews, presentations and strategic meetings with key stakeholders, senior client representatives and brand principals.
- Clearly articulate the creative vision, strategic rationale and intended audience impact behind concepts, campaigns and content approaches, connecting each recommendation to brand positioning and business objectives.
- Present ideas with confidence and sound judgement, constructively challenge feedback when appropriate, navigate differing perspectives, and translate decisions into clear creative direction for the team.
- Work in close partnership with account managers and social strategists to align expectations, anticipate client needs and build confidence in the quality and consistency of our creative work.
Guide and develop the team
- Serve as the team’s creative point of reference, giving thoughtful, candid feedback and holding every deliverable to a consistently high standard.
- Mentor designers, videographers and editors, improve workflows and encourage experimentation with new formats and production techniques.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Around 5+ years of relevant experience in creative, content, design, production or art direction, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strong thinking and excellent execution.
- Proven ability to develop social-first campaign work and direct compelling video and visual content.
- A refined eye for aesthetics and a strong command of visual design fundamentals, including composition, typography, colour, pacing and storytelling.
- An active understanding of current art, design, visual and creative trends, with the discernment to apply them in ways that feel fresh but authentic to each brand.
- Strong brand ethics and stewardship, with the ability to safeguard brand identity, uphold creative integrity and respect established visual and communication standards.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop; familiarity with Illustrator, Lightroom, Figma or other relevant tools is useful.
- Confidence in directing shoots and collaborating with multidisciplinary creatives. You don’t have to personally do every craft, but you should know what great work looks like and how to get there.
- Strong critical judgement and the confidence to assess creative work objectively, identify gaps and guide others to a better outcome.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, including experience leading creative discussions and explaining a creative point of view to senior decision-makers.
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to balance several time-sensitive campaigns.
- An informed understanding of current social platforms, creator-led formats and changing audience behaviour.
- Curiosity about emerging creative technology, including responsible use of client-approved AI-assisted workflows, without compromising originality or brand standards.
You’ll stand out if you have:
- Experience with premium entertainment, hospitality, lifestyle, F&B, culture, events or consumer-facing brands.
- Work that moves effortlessly between polished premium-brand campaigns and spontaneous, culture-led social content.
- Experience directing event photography, social video, motion design or high-impact promotional visuals.
- A sharp instinct for contemporary culture and emerging creative movements, and a track record of turning real-world experiences into engaging digital stories.
