Job Description

Ask & Embla | Singapore / China | Full-time

We are building something extraordinary at Ask & Embla, and the people behind our products are a big part of how we get there. We are currently open to applications from candidates based in Singapore and China for this role.

Ask & Embla is a fast-growing alternative jewelry brand with a deeply loyal global community, and our product development team is at the heart of everything we make. We are looking for a Product Developer who is organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited about bringing products to life from concept to delivery. If you have a commitment to excellence, a sharp eye for timelines, and experience working across accessories or jewelry product development, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
-Manage the timeline and critical path for assigned product categories/styles, in coordination with the PD Manager
-Contribute to product development plans (scope, schedule, critical path, milestones, risk assessment) for their category
-Accountable for tracking statuses across all phases for their assigned scope and proactively resolving issues before escalation is needed
-Identify issues, facilitate resolution, and recommend adjustments to plans
-Proactively communicate project status updates within the core team, Merchandising, and Marketing
-Assist teams in developing business cases/files for new projects
-Collect and translate data into actionable insights for their category
-Prepare or improve recurring reports (weekly/monthly/ad-hoc) to ensure timely updates
-Ensure design, product development, and merchandising teams are aligned on timelines, deliverables, and milestones
-Mentor and review the work of Junior–Mid PDs
-Ensure product lifecycle management software is utilized correctly and data stays current
-Participate in continuous learning and adapt approach to changing market demands

Who You Are
-3 to 5 years of experience in product development, ideally within jewelry, accessories, or fashion
-Proven ability to run a category or product line with minimal oversight
-Genuine resonance with Ask & Embla, with a clear understanding of our aesthetic, values, and the community we serve
-Experience working with suppliers is strongly preferred, you understand how to manage timelines and communication across production partners
-Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously
-Highly organized and detail-oriented, you do not let things slip through the cracks
-Comfortable working cross-functionally across creative, merchandising, marketing, and operations teams
-Data-savvy, able to build and maintain reports and translate numbers into decisions
-Proactive communicator who keeps stakeholders informed without being asked
-Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment where you build as you go
-Open to using AI as a tool for process improvement, ideally AI-native in how you think and operate
-Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage especially for China-based applicants
